my son was diagnosed with adem two years ago. with the help of great doctors at children’s hospital LA, he fully recovered from it in about two weeks and it has not relapsed for two years. however, after a birthday party on saturday, he started getting bumps and bite marks on his hands and face. we took him to his pcp and found out that he contracted the measles.
does anyone know if there is a chance of a relapse if he has the measles? i know there is nothing that can be done. btw he was not given a vaccine because our doctor advised us not to give him live vaccines.
