My daughter originally diagnosed with ADEM in March 2016. First 3 months post ADEM, MRI showed a decrease in lesions. We just had a second MRI 9 months post ADEM and the lesions have not decreased any more. Is this something we should be concerned with? How long before lesions decrease/disappear?

My lesions have decreased but not disappeared. I’m 2 years post ADEM.
I’m an adult though and apparently most kids recover completely.

Oh, and I have MRI’s every 6 months to check for new lesions in case an MS diagnosis can be made. The last two I’ve had show a further reduction in the lesions though and no new ones.
Best thing is to check with her Neurologist x
is she awake or is she on a vent
Ask the neurologist.
