My son is seven years old and has ADEM. He was first diagnosed when he was three. Since that time he keeps on having more episodes of it coming back. He will either get really bad migraines or start becoming wobbly , his head and having trouble walking again. He also complained of his legs hurting and aching . He does respond to the steroids they out hum on but he tends to gain alot of weight whilst taking them. This us a horrible disease a d k dont think it will ever go completely. He has missed alot of school due to this. He is having another MRI very soon due to symptoms coming back again before he becomes too bad. It has been less than a year and it has come back again.
